
Easter weekend may be a wet one with the Met Office confirming rain is set to hit the UK over the next week.
Forecasters have confirmed ‘a much more changeable period’ between April 14 and April 23 after Brits have enjoyed sunny and warm weather.
This covers Easter bank holiday beginning with Good Friday on April 18 with Easter Sunday following on April 20.
Thunderstorms may even be on the cards as low pressure comes in from the west of the UK with a mix of warmer weather.
So just what weather can we expect over the long weekend?

The Met Office said in their long range forecast: ‘A much more changeable period through at least the early part of next week as low pressure lies to the west of the UK bringing a mixture of showers and some longer spells of rain, but also some drier, sunnier interludes.


‘This heralds a wetter period through the middle of April with showers or longer spells of rain at times, which could be heavy and thundery in places.’
Temperature for Good Friday have been forecast, but the rest of the weekend is yet to come.

But Easter weekend itself may fall during the sunnier glimpses of weather, with the BBC forecasting dry and sunny weather on Good Friday through to Easter Sunday, with daytime highs of 19C or 18C.
Temperatures are also set to drop to what is considered more average for April.

It comes after the UK has enjoyed a warm and cloudless week, with temperatures on Friday reaching 23.7C in some parts of the country.
This was hotter than areas in the south of Europe, including Ibiza and Cyprus.
